There are a couple of forms of Vitamin B, but B3 is the topical treatment that can be used for skin problems. Vitamin B3 is credited with diminishing post-inflammatory hyperpigmentations (PIH) caused from conditions such as Rosacea or extremely dry skin. It increases hydration as it acts as a wall between the skin and the air.

- Niacin: the most commonly used name for Vitamin B3.
- Nicotinamide: Second most commonly used name for Vitamin B3.
- Nicotinic acid or Inositol Hexanicotinate: These two are not used nearly as often as the latter two listed, however they could pop up on your ingredient list.
